This summer we hosted 4 ENLACE high school students from Mexico in our lab, who investigated the health aspects of post-wildfire mudflows. In addition, 2 REU students were in our lab and did a bunch of small-scale bench experiments on rainwater infiltration into hydrophobic post-wildfire soils treated with biopolymer and surfactants.
